Since its founding 49 years ago as a community orchestra, ESA has grown into one of the nation’s most admired regional symphonies, earning recognition throughout the field for its ambitious programming and outstanding artistic leadership. On the occasion of its 50th Anniversary in 2015/16, ESA will honor the orchestra’s rich history while ushering in a new era of artistic achievement with a host of new repertoire and innovative interdisciplinary and multimedia concert events. Through this programming, ESA hopes to continue to engage its current audience while also nurturing the next generation of music-lovers, engaging a new and diverse population, and creating new avenues for public engagement with art.
